Sara Lindeborg

Sara Lindeborg (1984/SE) is a painter and researcher living in Stockholm. Recent works include Speculative Architecture, a painting series based on a 2023 research trip to Córdoba and Granada Spain (funded by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee), and the painting installation, performance and book project Ring Song, an inquiry into Mozarabic illuminated manuscripts and the Andalusi poetic form muwashshah. Her work has been presented at SIGNAL – Centre for Contemporary Art, Malmö (2020-22), Istituto Svizzero Roma (2015), and Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin (2015), among others. In 2022, she received a one-year working grant from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, and in 2017 was a recipient of the Ellen Trotzig Stipend. Between 2015–2017 she ran the interdisciplinary project Mapping (with) Plants on feminist practices, ecology and migration, together with art historian Hanne Loreck at Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg. She holds an MFA from Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg (2015), where she studied with Jutta Koether.
